Pain and loss of function?

Targeted regeneration of functional mobility - hand therapy in Frankfurt

Complex functional disorders of the hand and forearm affect not only muscles, joints, and tendons, but also the neural control of movement, strength, and coordination. They therefore require qualified, specialized, and holistic care.

  • Injuries to the hand and forearm
  • Postoperative courses, chronic or neurological conditions
  • functional limitations, loss of strength and disturbances of sensorimotor control
  • chronic pain in the hand and forearm area
  • Coordination, fine motor skills and perception disorders of the hand
  • functionally relevant and limiting scar changes

Using an evidence-based, functional-neurological treatment concept, we work specifically to sustainably improve movement quality, ability to act and everyday functions – in our practice or at your location via home visit.

Holistic and client-centered

Specialized hand therapy care with international expertise

As an academically trained occupational therapist (B.Sc.) with English-language studies in the Netherlands and several years of professional experience in the Swiss healthcare system, I work on the basis of international care standards and current scientific evidence.

My practice in Frankfurt focuses on hand therapy. The therapeutic approach is client-centered and based on a structured assessment, standardized evaluations, and clearly defined goals.

Together we pursue the sustainable restoration of functional hand performance, resilience and motor control as well as activity participation, taking into account their individual work and everyday requirements.

Your questions, our answers

Frequently asked questions about the therapy

In our practice, we exclusively treat self-paying patients and privately insured patients.

A doctor's prescription is not strictly necessary, but it can be useful to document the medical indication or to submit the treatment to private health insurance companies, supplementary insurance companies or public assistance programs.

For private patients, self-payers and those entitled to public assistance, billing is based on the fee schedule for therapists (GebüTh) and a fee agreement signed before the start of treatment.

This fee agreement is valid regardless of any potential reimbursement by the cost bearer.

We treat a wide range of functional disorders of the hand and upper extremity. These include tendon injuries, postoperative conditions following fractures and surgeries, and overuse syndromes such as tennis elbow.

Neurological (e.g., stroke) and nerve-related complaints (e.g., carpal tunnel syndrome), degenerative or rheumatic diseases, chronic pain syndromes, as well as scar and sensory disorders of the hand are among the most common reasons for treatment.

Appointments can be conveniently booked by phone or online via the platforms VerifyMed.de and Doctolib.

The duration of each treatment session depends on the doctor's prescription and is usually 30 or 45 minutes.

Yes. We manufacture custom-made thermoplastic splints for targeted hand support. Depending on the diagnosis, these are used to protect structures, support healing processes, guide movements, or improve hand function in everyday life.

The provision of splints depends on the indication, can be prescribed and is always embedded in an active, functional therapy concept.

Yes. The treatment then takes place in the home environment and is individually adapted to the current level of resilience.

Home visits can be prescribed, but are also available as a self-pay service.
