A private practice offers medical and therapeutic services for privately insured patients and Self-payer (Self-pay patients are those who finance their treatments themselves, regardless of their health insurance. In our occupational therapy practice in Frankfurt, patients with statutory health insurance can also be treated as self-pay patients!).
Thanks to individual treatment options and significantly shorter waiting times, all patients benefit from high-quality, patient-oriented treatment.
We are a private practice exclusively for privately insured patients. Of course, you can also book an appointment if you have statutory health insurance. However, in this case, you will have to pay for the treatment yourself (self-pay).
An occupational therapy functional analysis with a prescription costs approximately €120–160 for self-paying patients. We are informing you in advance about the costs involved.
You can pay the amount after the treatment with a debit card or credit card.
Before therapy begins, a treatment contract (fee agreement) is concluded between the therapy practice and the private patient. In this contract, the therapist commits to providing the defined therapeutic service, and the patient commits to paying the therapist the agreed price for the service provided, regardless of reimbursement by the private health insurance.
Private health insurance companies cover the costs of occupational therapy treatment prescribed by a doctor, either fully or partially, provided that coverage for outpatient occupational therapy is included in your policy. You chose/determined the level of coverage yourself with your private health insurance company at the start of your policy.
Reimbursement claims of eligible patients against the relevant public service health insurance providers are governed by the applicable regulations, which can vary nationwide. This may result in incomplete reimbursement of the invoice. Please note that if you are a public service health insurance patient, you will be responsible for any difference. If you have supplemental insurance to cover such discrepancies, you must also submit the invoice to that insurer.
Unfortunately, due to the variety of insurance terms, tariffs and subsidy regulations, I am unable to make a statement about the amount of reimbursement or the possibility of reimbursement.
I base my fees on the German fee schedule for therapists (GebüTh) and bill private patients, self-paying patients, and those eligible for public assistance according to a signed fee agreement. This fee agreement is valid regardless of whether and to what extent a claim for reimbursement exists against the health insurance provider. The amounts set by the health insurance providers do not affect the validity of this agreement.
